In the Summer 1954 issue of Vermont Life Magazine, Dr. Arthur Peach suggested the creation of an informal club for people interested in visiting all 251 cities and towns in Vermont.
Ultimately, the Vermont 251 Club was formed, helping thousands of people make and keep track of their way all across Vermont. A supporting website was launched to help anyone who wants to keep track of their Vermont adventures. VT251.com, which is not affiliated with the original Vermont 251 Club, can be used to get information about towns and destinations throughout Vermont, and offers great tools for you and your friends to track your progress, save pictures and notes for each town, and to share experiences from your travels through the Green Mountain State with others.
